About The Position

This role involves placing, pouring, and finishing concrete according to project specifications. The Concrete Finisher will execute tasks as directed, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This position also includes training apprentices and new employees, and performing limited carpentry duties. A strong work ethic, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are essential.

Requirements

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Places, pours, and finishes concrete to specification.
Executes tasks and activities as directed, in accordance with plans and specifications.
Spreads concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
Levels, smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete.
Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces.
Provides on-the-job training for company apprentices and new employees.
Performs concrete and limited carpenter duties.
Ensures compliance with quality and production standards.
Fosters a positive attitude within the crew.
Watches for compliance with safety policies.
Keeps jobsite clean and free of debris.
Informs superintendent of upcoming needs for materials.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by superintendent.
