Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a concrete finisher in heavy civil construction
- Strong knowledge of concrete mixes, placement methods, and finishing techniques
- Ability to work long hours during pours, including nights or weekends when required
- Familiarity with concrete tools and equipment
Responsibilities
- Place, level, and finish concrete using hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment
- Perform concrete finishing techniques including screeding, bull floating, edging, troweling, and broom finishing
- Set forms, install rebar and embeds as required
- Read and work from blueprints, elevations, and grade stakes
- Monitor concrete curing and apply curing compounds or coverings
- Repair surface defects, patch voids, and perform finish corrections
- Work with pump operators, laborers, and foremen to coordinate pours
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards
