Concrete Finisher — L.C.L. Excavation (2006) Inc. Join our team! L.C.L. Excavation is hiring a Concrete Finisher to join our curb and sidewalk construction crew. This role involves placing, shaping, and finishing concrete to deliver high-quality municipal and commercial curb and sidewalk projects across New-Brunswick with precision and efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in concrete finishing, curb work, or sidewalk construction
- Strong knowledge of finishing techniques, concrete behavior, and surface preparation
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
- Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail
- Reliable, safety-focused, and motivated to produce high-quality work
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete curbs and sidewalks to required grades, slopes, and specifications
- Operate hand and power finishing tools including trowels, floats, edgers, and screeds
- Work alongside curb machine operators and laborers to maintain smooth production flow
- Inspect concrete surfaces and apply finishing techniques for quality appearance and durability
- Assist with forming, pouring, and curing concrete as required
- Ensure proper joint spacing, alignment, and surface consistency
- Work safely around wet concrete, equipment, and active construction operations
- Perform daily tool and equipment checks and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
