About The Position

Responsible for performing designated duties in the Casting department following VFP guidelines to construct our concrete buildings in an efficient and timely manner. Opening in 2nd shift casting department.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to solve problems in a variety of standardized situations
• Knowledge of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Ability to read blue prints and a ruler

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings/prints for construction of concrete shelters
• Set up molds as specified on engineering prints
• Assist in achieving a high-quality finish on concrete panels e.g. slick, float, brush, and exposed
• Assist in removing panels from molds
• Operate and maintain concrete equipment such as automatic screed, vibrator, and electric/air hand tools
• Follow all departmental and company safety rules at all times
• Maintain good housekeeping practices by keeping work area neat and clean
• Other duties as assigned
