About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Concrete Laborer / Carpenter to join our construction team in Augusta, Maine. The ideal candidate will assist with forming, pouring, finishing, and repairing concrete structures while maintaining a safe and productive job site.
Requirements
- Experience in concrete construction, carpentry, or general labor preferred
- Ability to read tape measures and basic construction plans
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and metal formwork
- Build and set concrete forms for foundations, walls, slabs, and structural components
- Install reinforcing materials including rebar and wire mesh
- Assist with pouring and placing concrete
- Operate vibrators and finishing tools to ensure proper concrete consolidation and smooth surfaces
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, and bracing
- Strip and clean forms after concrete has cured
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company procedures
