About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a Concierge at The Residence at Basking Ridge. This role is the Process Owner of the Emerald Suites Program, the luxury living neighborhood of the community. The Concierge represents the residence in a professional, pleasant, courteous, and accommodating manner to the community and general public, especially to the residents residing in the Emerald Suites. The position is responsible for meeting and greeting all visitors to the residence and directing them to the appropriate person/area. The Concierge also directs all incoming telephone calls to the appropriate party and performs other duties essential to the Emerald Suites Program. The role involves promoting the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living, actively participating in growing community occupancy by interacting positively with potential residents and their families, and welcoming residents upon move-in while maintaining daily contact. The Concierge acts as a point of reference for residents needing assistance or information, understanding their needs and providing personalized solutions. This includes suggesting activities and services, arranging and accompanying residents to events or transportation as needed, answering the phone, making reservations, taking messages, and working closely with other department heads. Ensuring the Concierge floor has an appropriate look and feel, such as fresh flowers and beverages, is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

Must have knowledge of basic telephone reception systems and techniques and answer calls in a pleasant and courteous manner.
Provide clerical support and represent the residence in a professional manner.
The ability to respond calmly to emergency situations is essential.
The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is essential.
Able to anticipate and act upon the needs spoken and unspoken of the residents of the Emerald Suites Program.
Requires six months to one-year prior reception/concierge/Executive Assistant experience in an environment such as in resort or an upscale hotel with concierge services.
Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
Visual and auditory acuity.
Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., and be able to carry objects.
Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Must use good body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Typing or word processing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community.
Have an active role in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals.
Perform all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude.
Welcome residents upon move in and maintain daily contact.
Act as the point of reference for residents who need assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements.
Understand residents needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and services provided by the community.
Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises and the nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations.
Arrange and accompany as needed to event, excursions, transportation etc. upon request from concierge level residents.
Answer the phone and make reservations, take and distribute messages or mail and redirect calls.
Work closely with all other department heads as well as provide engagement, apartment management ETC.
Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
Ensure the Concierge floor has appropriate look and feel (i.e. Fresh flowers, beverages etc.).
