About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a Care Scheduler at The Residence at Basking Ridge. This role is responsible for staff scheduling, proactively reviewing potential gaps within department schedules, and anticipating changes in staffing patterns and needs based on acuity and occupancy. The Care Scheduler is accountable for staffing to the budgeted hours of each department, replacing staff for call-outs, vacations, and holidays, and collaborating with department heads to ensure staffing needs are met. The position also involves promoting the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living, actively contributing to community occupancy growth by positively representing the residence to potential residents, families, and professionals, and performing all duties with a positive attitude. Responsibilities include responding timely to staff questions and concerns, developing and maintaining schedules, filing related documents, posting schedules by designated due dates, communicating regularly with department heads, maintaining the SharePoint communication forum, and attending required training sessions. Flexibility and acceptance of delegated assignments are also expected.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of basic computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint desired.
  • The ability to handle all questions, concerns, and requests in a pleasant and courteous manner, provide clerical support and represent the residence in a professional manner.
  • The ability to respond calmly to emergency situations is essential.
  • The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is essential.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Requires a minimum of one-year prior scheduling experience in a large healthcare environment.
  • Typing or word processing experience is preferred.
  • Must have either Administrative experience or CNA experience.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude.
  • Respond timely to staff questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain an ongoing schedule.
  • Maintain and file schedules and related documents, such as requests for PTO.
  • Post schedules in a timely manner by the designated due date.
  • Communicate regularly with each department head to ensure transparency with staffing schedule.
  • Type correspondence as needed.
  • Maintain the SharePoint communication forum.
  • Attend required in-service training sessions and orientations.
  • Maintain flexibility of responsibilities and accepts other assignments as delegated.
