About The Position

The Concierge is responsible for creating unique, transformational culinary events for hotel guests that showcase local culinary and beverage flavor. This role ensures guest experience is extraordinary through notable offerings unique to the guests’ expectations. The Concierge handles all service-related requests from guests, such as flowers, transportation, and luggage, with flawless delivery. They also arrange for distinctive and custom dining experiences and restaurant reservations, ensure timely delivery of parcels and special deliveries to guest rooms, and maintain the pristine condition of public areas by partnering with the Housekeeping department. Additionally, the Concierge sets up impressive amenities for VIP guests or those celebrating special occasions, interacts with other departments to ensure guest needs are met, and proactively works to improve the hotel experience. Special duties as required by management are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year previous experience in a luxury or ultra-luxury environment.
  • Well-educated on worldly culinary trends, food, wine, cocktails
  • Knows the San Antonio market and target demographics/psychographics
  • Pride in San Antonio history and culture
  • Attends community events – great networker
  • Creative Vision
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Familiar with fine and unique dining venues
  • Fluent and prolific with Social Media
  • Exhibits integrity – no kick-backs or pay-to-play relationships

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred
  • Experience in hotel food & beverage operations preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Preferable to have received training in customer Service in a luxury or ultra-luxury environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create unique, transformational culinary events for hotel guests that showcase local culinary and beverage flavor.
  • Ensure guest experience is extraordinary through notable offerings unique to the guests’ expectations.
  • Handle all service-related requests from guests (i.e. flowers, transportation, luggage, etc.) with absolute flawless delivery.
  • Arrange for distinctive and custom dining experiences and restaurant reservations.
  • Ensure receipt and timely delivery of parcels, mail, special deliveries, etc. to guest rooms.
  • Ensure that our one-of-a-kind public area (lobby) is pristine and well maintained by partnering with Housekeeping department.
  • Set up impressive amenities for VIP guests or guests celebrating special occasions.
  • Interact with other departments to ensure that all guest’s needs are supremely satisfied.
  • Proactively work to improve the hotel experience for our guests.
  • Accept other special duties as required by management.
