About The Position

Blakehurst is seeking a part-time Concierge (Valet) to provide assistance to residents and other departments at its Life Plan Community in Towson, Maryland. The role supports residents and guests, delivers items, assists with vehicles, and provides receptionist coverage and clerical help as needed. The position is scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and every other Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pay is $15.75–$17.75. New hires must pass the preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness-for-duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some roles in the community may also require questions about vaccination status.

Requirements

Understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
Handle multiple tasks at one time and maintain a customer-service attitude.
Have typing skills and experience with computers and other business machines.
Be able to move 25–40 pounds.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Pass the preemployment screening process, including a fitness-for-duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Responsibilities

Deliver packages, flowers, prescriptions, and other items to residents’ apartments and other departments.
Assist residents and guests arriving at and departing from the community.
Provide backup receptionist coverage as necessary.
Park and retrieve resident and visitor vehicles upon request.
Perform other services for residents upon request.
Perform clerical tasks, including making photocopies and sending faxes.
