About The Position

The Concierge Host will be responsible for creating incredible memories for guests by providing information about the local area, including events, and recommending things to see and do. This role requires being highly knowledgeable of local attractions, hotel services, and amenities, and influencing guests to utilize them. The Concierge Host will also ensure the Concierge lounge is inviting and clean, and provide food and beverage services, including mixing drinks, while adhering to responsible alcohol service laws.

Requirements

• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• Previous experience as a Concierge or prior experience with local events.
• Proven customer service skills, including ability to be resourceful and creative.
• Strong business communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Enjoy working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for guests.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods (6-8 hours a day).
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed.
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation.
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset.

Responsibilities

• Create incredible memories for guests.
• Build local contacts and stay informed about local events to provide information to guests.
• Provide and recommend things to see and do in the hotel and local area.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services and attractions, particularly Instagrammable spots.
• Influence and guide guests to hotel amenities and services.
• Ensure the Concierge lounge is inviting and clean.
• Provide food and beverage services to guests, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Mix drinks for guests.
• Comply with applicable laws and responsible alcohol service.
