About The Position

Join our team as a Concession Stand Lead and play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences at UW–Madison Badger sporting events with Levy. In this leadership position, you will oversee day-to-day concession stand operations while supervising and supporting a team of volunteers. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and enjoys leading teams during major sporting events. Anticipated start date: as soon as possible!

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Must be 21 years of age or older (required for alcohol service).
• Willingness to complete Responsible Alcohol Service Certification & Food Handler's ServSafe Certification.
• Ability to lift 20–45 pounds and remain active for the duration of events.
• Must be available to work all UW–Madison football home games and the majority of sporting events at the Kohl Center Arena.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food service experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support volunteer group members, assigning tasks based on strengths and operational needs.
• Foster teamwork, motivation, and accountability to ensure efficient stand operations.
• Oversee all concession stand operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with company and venue guidelines.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges during events.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized concession stand at all times.
• Ensure products are properly stocked, displayed, and merchandised.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and Responsible Alcohol Service standards.
• Promote a safe working environment for team members and guests.
• Monitor inventory levels throughout events and coordinate timely restocking of products.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with supervisors regarding staffing needs, inventory issues, or operational concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support successful event operations.
