About The Position

The Concessions Cashier is responsible for accurately ringing up and selling products efficiently. The Cashier should be comfortable approaching guests to offer services and sell products. In addition, the Cashier must be willing to help fellow team members complete tasks. This role involves performing sales transactions in a timely fashion, interacting with customers and resolving complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner, observing customer purchases and differentiating between standard portions, replenishing condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas, keeping the pastry case stocked, and ensuring compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures, as well as all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements. The role also includes completing and following up on steps of service to ensure utmost guest satisfaction, understanding and describing menu offerings, packaging/presentation and pricing, assisting with inventory and product management for the stand, and utilizing conflict resolution and de-escalation skills. The position requires the ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, demonstrate physical stamina and agility for long periods of mobility, and lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in food service or hospitality industry.
  • Previous cash register experience is preferred.
  • An outgoing personality is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both team members and guests.
  • Must demonstrate strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Must maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Should have a working knowledge of food and beverage offerings, inventory support, and guest service standards.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Must be able to work all Hawks home games.
