About The Position

As a Designer, you will be responsible for the design, modeling, and integration of technical solutions, including structural insulation systems (thermal and acoustic), in line with production requirements and performance objectives. You will be involved in concept development, 3D/2D modeling, and technical support to internal teams.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience;
DEC in Aeronautical Construction or Mechanical Engineering;
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint);
Proficiency with design and modeling software (CATIA V5 and 3DVia);
Proficiency with Material Resource Planning (MRP) software, such as SAP or BaaN;
Bilingual: French and English, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical skills;
Ability to manage responsibilities and adapt to workflow;
Demonstrated adaptability in a dynamic environment;
Ability to take initiative.

Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is an asset;

Responsibilities

Design and develop parts, assemblies, and insulation systems (thermal and acoustic) according to client requirements and industry standards;
Perform 3D modeling and 2D drafting while integrating constraints related to insulation, space, and operating environment;
Integrate insulating materials (thermal, acoustic, anti-vibration) into designs, considering performance, weight, and installation constraints;
Develop, interpret, and modify drawings, plans, and technical specifications for various structures and insulated systems;
Ensure compliance of designs with applicable standards (aerospace, fire safety, thermal/acoustic performance, etc.);
Support the resolution of technical issues related to production, particularly those involving installation or performance of insulation systems;
Analyze engineering change requests (ECR/ECN) and propose optimized solutions;
Conduct technical research on materials, processes, and innovative insulation solutions;
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure effective integration of designs;
Provide technical support to production, particularly for assembly and installation of insulation components;
Participate in design validation activities (design reviews, feasibility, tolerancing, interfaces);
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and quality procedures;
Review assembly manuals and ensure proper integration of insulation solutions;
Contribute to research and development activities, particularly in improving thermal and acoustic performance;
Share technical knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives;
Support proposal activities and workload planning;
Understand and apply AS9100 quality requirements and the company’s QMS procedures;
Perform any other related tasks.
