About The Position

Provide technical support for all computer users within the company. Answer questions and resolve computer problems for employees on-site, by telephone or electronically. Provides support concerning the use of computer hardware, software, printing, document & data processing, electronic data storage, network security systems, electronic mail and telephone operating systems.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • Experience in general IT support, or related technical training is necessary.
  • Current IT student status in an accredited program is acceptable.
  • Proficient in all aspects of personal computer workstations and windows operating software and Microsoft programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and Publisher.
  • Available to work "on-call" or additional hours, if needed during critical software or hardware upgrades.

  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Protective footwear & safety eyewear

Responsibilities

  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment.
  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Assist with the installation of network wiring.
  • Assist with training users in the proper use of hardware and software programs.
  • Assist with recording keeping - hardware and software inventory.
  • Provide general IT support as directed by Supervisor, such as repair/replace equipment, cleaning equipment, refurbish computers, executing program updates.
