About The Position

The CT Technologist provides quality diagnostic imaging for medical interpretation. The position is PRN/Extra Help and is not benefits eligible. Duties include operating CT equipment, handling patients, performing venipuncture, post-processing images, transporting patients, working with electronic medical records, and communicating with physicians and other services. The role includes call and holiday coverage. The technologist is responsible for maintaining professional licenses, national registry status, and annual competencies; other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and graduation from an approved Radiology program.
New graduate or less than one year of CT experience.
Registry eligible or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Obtain an Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License before the start date.
Obtain CT Advanced Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire.
Ability to follow oral instructions, read, and write.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Radiological Sciences.
One or more years of experience as a CT technologist.
Advanced Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography.

Responsibilities

Operate CT imaging equipment and post-process imaging data.
Handle patients.
Perform venipuncture.
Use EPIC.
Provide call and holiday coverage.
Communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously with patients, physicians, clinics, and other hospital services.
Maintain professional license(s), National Registry status, and all annual competencies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
