About The Position

The CT Technologist provides quality diagnostic imaging for medical interpretation at UAMS Health Benton/Bryant. This PRN/Extra Help position is not benefits eligible. The work includes operating CT equipment, handling and transporting patients, venipuncture, image post-processing, using electronic medical records, and communicating with physicians and other services. Call and holiday coverage are required. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of an approved Radiology program.
New graduate or less than one year of CT experience.
Eligible for registration or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Obtain an Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License before the start date.
Obtain CT Advanced Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire.
Ability to follow oral instructions, read, and write.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Radiological Sciences.
One or more years of experience as a CT technologist.
Advanced Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography.

Responsibilities

Operate CT imaging equipment and post-process imaging data.
Handle and transport patients.
Perform venipuncture.
Use EPIC and electronic medical records.
Provide call and holiday coverage.
Communicate professionally and courteously with patients, physicians, clinics, and other hospital services.
Maintain professional license(s), National Registry, and annual competencies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
