About The Position

The Florida Department of Revenue’s Child Support Program is hiring a Computer Systems Analyst to provide desktop and network support to local area network users in Tallahassee. The role is suited to self-motivated critical thinkers who enjoy working with technology and solving problems. The position is part-time telework eligible after training and after reaching an acceptable level of proficiency. The standard workday is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; work outside the regular schedule and travel may be required when business needs dictate.

Requirements

Experience communicating verbally and/or in writing and guiding end users through computer-related inquiries.
Two years of experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office.
Two years of work-related experience deploying, supporting, maintaining, or troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
Two years of work-related experience troubleshooting and handling Microsoft Windows operating systems in an office environment.
Ability to install and maintain computer equipment, including bending, stooping, and kneeling in awkward positions and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

Analyze and coordinate resolution of hardware, software, and network communication problems.
Assist with planning and designing office network layouts.
Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of hardware, software, and communications.
Research and recommend improvements and solutions.
Install computers and electronic equipment and maintain an inventory of them.
Provide training and support to peers and other teams.
