About The Position

An employee in this position is responsible for maintaining the computer hardware, software and programming as requested. Under the direction and supervision of the CEO, the duties and responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to: Install and maintain software and software upgrades. Perform network maintenance to include security management, user management, menu utilities, etc. Maintain legacy programming and assist with transition to other solutions. Document all programming and specifications. Manage user support as needed for non-computer professionals in a group or individual setting. Monitor supplies and equipment condition, initiate purchase requisitions when necessary. Maintain computer related hardware, establish a maintenance schedule and arrange repair and replacement as required. Manage directory structures on file servers and PC’s including the deletion of extraneous data from hard drives as needed. Supervisor a computer technician. Manage and monitor Agency cell phone, office phone equipment and security. Work with outside computer support personnel. Maintain Agency Website updates and security. Implement and maintain a comprehensive backup system. Design, develop and maintain small programming projects. May include use of Microsoft Office, report writers integrated with accounting software, or other software packages. Provide technical assistance related to electronic equipment used for program applications. May include video monitoring, mobile devices, alarm systems, etc. Maintain physical network, including methods for remote and wireless access. Other duties as assigned. Attend Division meetings and staff training as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a System Administrator Position.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Must complete a successful background check.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications i.e. Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to work with a variety of equipment and software packages.
  • Ability to work with, teach and assist non-computer professionals in a classroom or on an individual basis.
  • Ability to solve problems using manuals and/or other resources.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to administer email system, including security.
  • Knowledge of computer server structures, terminal server and exchange server etc.
