About The Position

Vervic Human Capital Solutions is seeking a Senior Computer Specialist to evaluate, manage, maintain, and optimize computer hardware, systems software, operating systems, and software development tools. The role calls for experience in systems analysis, systems programming, application programming, or equipment analysis. Compensation is $40 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline, or three years of equivalent experience in a related field.
• At least eight years of computer experience in at least two of these disciplines: system analysis, system programming, application programming, or equipment analysis.
• At least five years of experience as a computer hardware or systems software specialist, or as a systems analyst evaluating computer hardware and software.
• Knowledge of operating systems, system configurations, performance optimization, and resource utilization.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.
• Recent hands-on experience implementing or deploying production law-enforcement or public-safety applications, including CAD, RMS, and mobile-computing applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, manage, maintain, and optimize computer hardware, systems software, operating systems, and software development tools.
• Evaluate hardware and software capabilities, compatibility, and interoperability.
• Identify system bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
• Assess technical requirements and recommend hardware and software solutions.
