Computer Specialist
About The Position
The Computer Specialist will be responsible for developing business and technical requirements, identifying user stories, and translating them into technical requirements. This role involves working closely with stakeholders from various business units to ensure all needs are met and requirements are approved. The specialist will also analyze and document current systems and processes, make recommendations for improvements, and coordinate with technical teams, designers, developers, and engineers to ensure applications are built to specification and on time. Additionally, the role requires maintaining documentation for system processes and procedures and providing management reporting.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience
- Extensive business and data analysis
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working and coordinating with the technical teams in documenting business and functional requirements
- Overseeing project deliverables
- Understanding software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Develop business and technical requirements
- Identify user stories and translate them into technical requirements
- Develop user stories and break down requirements into deliverable functionality
- Review requirements with stakeholders for approval
- Meet with stakeholders from every business unit impacted by the project
- Identify the target audience for each requirement
- Specify the exact success metrics for satisfying each requirement
- Provide Management Reporting and Information dissemination
- Analyze and document current systems and processes
- Make recommendations for improvements based on client feedback
- Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to coordinate the building of applications
- Leverage images, graphs, charts, diagrams, workflows, use-cases and visual prototypes to articulate documented requirements
- Maintain documentation for system processes and procedures
