About The Position

This role involves employing advanced scientific and technical techniques to analyze complex intelligence data. The Computer Scientist – Senior will correlate technical findings into various narrative formats, develop and utilize machine learning and data mining algorithms, and integrate these into government intelligence missions. The position also requires making recommendations for data management, supporting predictive analysis and strategy development, and preparing documentation of findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with eight (8) years of relevant experience
• Current active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
• Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and software paradigms.
• Expertise in distributed systems design, cloud-native architectures, and microservices.
• Experience leading software development teams or managing complex system development efforts.
• Proficiency with DevSecOps practices and end-to-end CI/CD pipeline management.
• Experience optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Deep understanding of DOD and federal cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex intelligence requirements into technical capabilities.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and providing technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Correlate complex, technical findings into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products on trends of existing intelligence data to leverage other IC data sources using mathematics, statistics, information science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, network science, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering, data warehousing, data compression, data protection, and/or scientific techniques.
• Develop and utilize machine learning and data mining and prediction algorithms based on open-source capabilities.
• Integrate or code algorithms to support Government intelligence search and discovery missions.
• Make best-practice recommendations on managing data within hardware, software, storage and bandwidth constraints.
• Employ data science techniques to support predictive analysis, social media and crowd-source data analytics, wargaming, and strategy development.
• Employ exploratory analysis and rapid iteration techniques of large volumes of data to quickly derive intelligence.
• Prepare products to describe and document findings and activities.
