About The Position

Indiana Tech is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Talwar College of Engineering and Computer Sciences to teach in Computer Science and Computer Engineering programs. This 12-month teaching position involves educating and mentoring students, contributing to program growth, and potentially filling a tenure-track or Professor of Practice role. The faculty member will teach in both face-to-face and online formats, develop and enhance academic programs, collaborate with colleagues, advise students, and support recruitment and retention efforts. Responsibilities also include maintaining academic records for accreditation, utilizing learning management systems, and supporting the university's mission and strategic priorities. The position is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and offers a collaborative academic environment focused on career-oriented education in technology fields.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in multiple areas of cybersecurity, computing, and artificial intelligence.
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Commitment to working effectively with diverse student populations.

Nice To Haves

  • Terminal degree preferred.
  • Industry experience is highly valued, particularly for candidates seeking appointment as a Professor of Practice.
  • College-level teaching experience.
  • Experience delivering online courses.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, computing, software development, networking, artificial intelligence, or related technical disciplines.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA CySA+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar credentials.
