This is a technical consortium level position supporting 10 County Health Departments. This position is intended to assist the System Administrator in supporting the CHDs by performing webmaster duties for all sites as assigned. It involves coordinating with content managers and management staff on all updates/modifications, and coordinating with designated information custodians and staff on the implementation, updates, and corrections of the intranet and internet sites supported by the ACHD IT Department. The role works within the state-approved content management system to perform internet site updates. Additionally, the position assists in the updates and maintenance of SharePoint sites, and assists designated staff with updates and maintenance requests. The role participates in State & local level conference calls and meetings, and monitors State webmaster information sites within DOH to stay current on statewide developments and initiatives. A key responsibility is developing and maintaining the ACHD IT Department knowledge base to ensure it accurately reflects current and previous issues and remains pertinent as technology and issues evolve. The position involves programming and scripting of reports, dashboards, and applications as directed for implementation within the CHDs, and assisting in the preparation and delivery of training on implementations for the proper use of reports and applications, including system documentation. The role maintains a work plan and schedule for duties and responsibilities, and generates and tracks processes through help desk tickets. Periodically, the position acts as back-up desktop support, assisting with, coordinating, installing, and implementing distributed computer system hardware, software, and communications components, and performing diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software problems. The role is responsible for securing designated information sets to protect confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate access for all information, both confidential and public record, stored in hard copy or electronic format. This includes responding to notifications of suspected or confirmed viruses and quarantining infected devices. As an information custodian, the role develops, maintains, and ensures adherence to Department of Health and ACHD security policies, protocols, and procedures, delegating authority as necessary. The position may require working extra hours or days in the event of an emergency, and extended hours support or being subject to call may be required. A personal vehicle must be used for travel if a State vehicle is unavailable, with mileage compensated at the current state-approved reimbursement rate. Related duties as assigned are also part of the role.
