About The Position

The Computer Lab Technician assists students with hardware and software issues in a university computer lab setting. This role involves direct interaction with students, staff, and faculty, requiring excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities include answering technical questions, troubleshooting printing problems, and managing the checkout of equipment. Regular, reliable attendance and the ability to maintain positive working relationships are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to be punctual and dependable
  • Ability to be professional
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members
  • Familiarity/knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel and related software
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in customer service role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the operations of personal computers and the functions of various software
