About The Position

The Computer Lab Aide will provide instructional assistance in the computer lab at Horizon High School. This is a paraprofessional role funded by a grant, and employment is conditional on available funding. The position is for the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Meet the standards of ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act).
• Completed two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours) OR Associate's degree (or higher).
• Must apply and obtain a Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (UPON HIRE).
• Ability to work well with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work well under supervision.
• Ability to use computer and be familiar with word, excel, access, and e-mail systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children preferred.
