About The Position

CACI is currently seeking a Computer Hardware Engineer II in support of a program whose initiative is aimed at combating evolving and emerging threats, supporting related exploitation and replication activities, and advancing operational rehearsal, exercise, wargaming, and counter system development. Additionally, we are focusing on integration and experimentation, including Modeling and Simulation. Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or 2-year technical school.
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • 5 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DOD or military hardware systems
  • Knowledge of DOD cybersecurity policies and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation hardware infrastructure
  • Experience supporting live exercises or training events
  • Understanding of network hardware components and integration
  • Experience with hardware accreditation processes

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, or test computer hardware and computer-related equipment for military and scientific applications
  • Support hardware systems engineering, configuration management, and verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) of solutions
  • Provide technical expertise to integrate new hardware technologies into existing hardware and software systems
  • Evaluate new and existing hardware technologies and assess costs and benefits of incorporation into DEVCOM capabilities
  • Support modeling and simulation (M&S) infrastructure including computer hardware and associated peripherals
  • Coordinate with government staff, system primes/OEMs, and industry vendors in collaborative environments
  • Support event/exercise infrastructure and provide technical expertise during exercises and testing activities
  • Ensure hardware systems comply with DOD cybersecurity policies and accreditation requirements
  • Participate in engineering-related technical reviews, field tests, and budget reviews
  • Work collaboratively with other contractors and government partners across multiple mission areas
