About The Position

CACI is seeking a Computer Hardware Engineer in support of a program whose initiative is aimed at combating evolving and emerging threats, supporting related exploitation and replication activities, and advancing operational rehearsal, exercise, wargaming, and counter system development. Additionally, we are focusing on integration and experimentation, including Modeling and Simulation. Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of computer hardware architecture and design principles
  • Experience with military-grade hardware systems and specifications
  • Proficiency in hardware testing, validation, and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles as applied to hardware systems
  • Familiarity with DoD systems engineering standards (IEEE 15288 series)
  • Knowledge of hardware configuration management practices
  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or 2 year technical school
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • 15 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Experience with Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) simulation systems
  • Familiarity with Army M&S networks and infrastructure requirements
  • Experience supporting large-scale Joint or Coalition exercises
  • Knowledge of DOW cybersecurity policies and accreditation processes
  • Experience with DEVCOM or C5ISR Center programs
  • Professional certifications related to hardware engineering or systems engineering

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test computer and computer-related equipment for military and scientific applications
  • Provide technical expertise in all areas of modeling and simulation systems engineering equipment within Government offices, laboratories, and test locations
  • Support hardware systems integration for M&S environments and infrastructures
  • Provide technical expertise to integrate new hardware technologies into existing systems
  • Supervise the manufacturing, installation, and integration of computer and computer-related equipment and components
  • Support hardware configuration management and system accreditation processes
  • Participate in technical reviews, exercise support, field tests, and preoperational reviews
  • Provide 24/7 technical and logistical support when required for events and exercises
  • Support infrastructure for event/exercise operations including systems engineering, systems integration, and systems security administration
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including government personnel, contractors, and OEMs/system primes
  • Support hardware lifecycle management from development through sustainment and disposal
  • Provide technical expertise for digital transformation efforts as directed
