About The Position

This is a Computer Audit Analyst position in the General Tax Administration Program’s, Refund and Revenue Accounting, Refunds Unit. The incumbent conducts independent refund audits of one or more taxes and will perform or assist with more complex audits of business entities for the various Florida taxes administered by the Department. This position is responsible for coordinating work as well as processing, examining, analyzing, or interpreting accounting records or investigative financial information for the purpose of giving advice or preparing statements or reports for the Refund Sub-Process for various taxes administered by the Department of Revenue to ensure correct processing of refund claims. The incumbent is also responsible for training auditors, including on-the-job training, and assisting in training sessions.

Requirements

Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
Four years of experience with account balance and corrections within the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX) within the General Tax Administration Program (GTA).
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Experience in providing SUNTAX training within GTA.
Experience creating or writing procedures.
Experience in accounting, auditing, or computer systems analysis which involves accounting or auditing systems within GTA.
Experience analyzing computer systems.
