About The Position

Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist to join its team in a PRN (as-needed), varied-shift role. The technologist provides patient care according to department and hospital policies and procedures, follows radiation-safety protocols, and helps maintain safe, efficient department operations. The role also includes tracking patients, identifying and correcting errors, and participating in performance-improvement activities, in-services, and meetings.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited school of radiography, hold ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification upon starting, and hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification upon starting. CT certification must be obtained within one year of accepting the offer. Prior experience as a CT technologist in a hospital or healthcare environment is preferred.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide sound patient care in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Complete ancillary tasks that support efficient and consistent departmental operations.
• Demonstrate radiation protection and safety for patients, staff, and self according to department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Track patients according to department procedures; identify errors and take immediate corrective action, as evidenced by EMR, PACS, and Radiology Information Systems reports.
• Participate in department and hospital performance-improvement initiatives, in-services, and meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
