Computed Tomography Technologist II
About The Position
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is seeking a Computed Tomography Technologist II for its Computed Tomography department. The technologist independently operates all CT scanners and performs scanning protocols without assistance. The role also operates related equipment and assists physicians as needed with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients of all ages. The technologist coordinates patient flow and produces quality images efficiently and safely. The CT Technologist II works independently, has completed competencies for all CT exams and protocols, and may float to other CT scanners as workflow dictates.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist license.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ARRT registration in Computed Tomography.
- Venipuncture certification.
- Basic skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated competency through sign-off on all skills and completion of competency checklists.
- Ability to perform all exams independently and willingness and ability to help new CT technologists.
- At least 6 months of experience performing CT exams.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience performing CT exams at a hospital with 500 or more beds and Level I trauma designation.
