About The Position

CES is building a service-first compressed air business in the Northeast. This role is the leader responsible for this business, owning the Northeast number, managing strategic accounts, and directing the service operation. It's a player-coach position where the individual will grow an existing book of business, convert accounts to preventive-maintenance agreements, and cross-sell with ESC services. A key objective is to grow the region to a point where new business demand requires hiring a dedicated sales representative, shifting the role's focus more towards leadership. The role involves leading and developing a team, including a sales and service coordinator, lead technician, field technicians, and an applications and engineering team.

Requirements

  • Branch or regional leadership experience from compressor distribution, industrial or mechanical services, or HVAC service.
  • Experience managing both sales and operations.
  • Proven track record of carrying a sales number while leading a team (player-coach).
  • Ability to lead and grow a sales effort and direct a service operation.
  • Comfortable inheriting and growing an established book of business.
  • Experience developing people as a region scales.
  • Willingness to be in the territory with customers.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Northeast number, including revenue, gross margin, and recurring preventive-maintenance growth.
  • Carry strategic and larger accounts, opening doors and closing deals alongside the team.
  • Grow CES's existing accounts and convert them into signed preventive-maintenance agreements.
  • Cross-sell compressed air services into ESC's customer base and promote ESC's services to compressed air accounts.
  • Direct the service operation, setting standards, ensuring delivery is on track, and maintaining quality and response times.
  • Lead and develop the team, growing the talent pool as the region scales.
  • Maintain and refine operational playbooks and standards for potential future regional expansion.
