About The Position

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is seeking an academically oriented board certified/eligible Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our expanding team. This position will be primarily located at the Eye Institute, Milwaukee, WI (Froedtert Hospital Campus) with potential days per week at satellite clinics. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care. This is an open-rank, full-time faculty position, available in either the traditional track or clinician-educator track. We are seeking candidates with strong clinical and surgical expertise, who possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit, with a commitment to advancing MCW’s academic missions in clinical care, education, and scholarly activity. The position’s clinical activity is primarily undertaken at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute with possibly one or two half-days per week at satellite clinics. Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed MD or equivalent.
  • Candidates must be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
  • Be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.

Nice To Haves

  • An interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage during core business hours with some flexibility required, as necessary, to accommodate business needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate.
