About The Position

Reporting to the Compounding Manager, the Compounding oversees all the daily tasks related to the batching process for the Compounding department. Requirements

  • 2+ years compounding experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree in a science preferred
  • GMP and ISO 22716 experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for a significant portion of the shift
  • Must be willing to work overtime and or weekend work as required by management or the production schedule
  • Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical calculations
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience with operational planning
  • Mastery knowledge of natural product and material as well as lab and production equipment
  • Knowledge of look, smell, feel, and other attributes of bulk products.
  • Understand tools and equipment utilized by the Compounding Department
  • Understand how all products are processed
  • Availability to be onsite daily with reliable attendance during work hours; must be available/reachable during off hours in case of emergency
  • Consistently meet individual and team goals daily
  • Capable of working under stress and in action-demanding situations when required; willingness to work beyond normal hours to meet deadlines when necessary
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization, maintaining a positive and professional attitude

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Oversee batch production each day.
  • Able to open each morning.
  • Ensure all daily lab department tasks are completed.
  • Ensure batches are properly processed based on the daily batch schedule.
  • Keep record of defective, damaged, spilled, or otherwise lost materials or finished bulk product.
  • Responsible for keeping department KPIs up to date.
  • Work with the Compounding Supervisor/Manager to find problems and their solutions.
  • Train new employees as needed; help keep training documents up-to-date.
  • Responsible for updating/responding to Asana tasks/messages, Slack messages, emails, and all other company communication in a timely manner
  • Resolve small conflicts among team members
  • Work with maintenance to maintain necessary equipment and tools working properly.
  • Ensure team is following all safety guidelines
  • Work with the compounding team to produce all batches following the processing instructions
  • Keep track of all documentation related to the batching process and ensure it is filled out correctly
  • Work with Quality Control to ensure the approval of all batches.
  • Work closely with the Compounding Supervisor/Manager to determine appropriate tanks needed for the production schedule.
  • Work with the Industrial Cleaning Lead to ensure the tanks are being downloaded/cleaned in a timely manner.
  • Work with the Pre-weigh Lead/Supervisor to push out the proper batches on the schedule.
  • With the help of Research and Development and Process Engineering, problem solve all batching issues that arise.
  • Promptly and accurately complete all paperwork each day.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Compounding Supervisor/Manager.
