About The Position

Mixlab, a fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Part-time Pharmacist to assist in their NY pharmacy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and driven to provide excellent service to customers and their pets. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth pharmacy operations and making Mixlab a dependable resource for customers and veterinarians. The role is full-time, with operating hours Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 7:00 PM EST and Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM EST.

Requirements

Licensed certified pharmacist in NY, in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy.
Formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in non-sterile compounding.
Impeccable attention to detail with high standards for accuracy and quality.
Collaborative attitude and desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, startup environment.

Nice To Haves

Preference given to veterinary compounding experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure pharmacy performance meets goals and expectations daily in partnership with pharmacy leadership.
Address workflow and pharmacy-related questions.
Facilitate the smooth flow of orders within and between process areas, especially during your shift.
Guide staff pharmacists on best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of Mixlab processes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements and uphold Mixlab values.
Support and coordinate with the Pharmacy Manager, Department Leads, and PIC in executing daily/weekly operating plans.
Oversee compound pharmaceutical preparations in the lab, ensure workflow operates as designed, and proactively address waste and errors.
Perform final verifications on all compounds before packaging.
Provide guidance and feedback as a subject matter expert to internal teams on compounding and workflow.
Collaborate with the quality team to enable and ensure robust quality assurance processes.
Maintain NY state license and other necessary licenses.
Perform Care Pharmacist duties as needed.
Be able and willing to perform primary workflow responsibilities as a pharmacist in all areas of the pharmacy.
