About The Position

We are redefining healthcare by prioritizing the customer experience from diagnosis to treatment and delivery. This role is for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician working the Back Half Nights shift (Wednesday-Saturday, 9pm-7:30am) in our modern, closed-door pharmacy facility. The primary focus will be on compounding non-sterile medications, adhering to USP <795> and USP <800> requirements, and maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. This position is crucial for delivering safe, high-quality medications and impactful pharmaceutical services to our patients. A current registration and active license as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in Ohio are required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Familiarity with USP <795> and <800> standards and non-sterile compounding processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance in a regulated environment.
  • Organized, dependable, and collaborative team player.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality standards.
  • Must be willing to confirm understanding of potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.
  • Medical approval to wear respiratory protection (negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or PAPR).

  • Prior experience in hospital or compounding settings.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain non-sterile compounding equipment and designated workspaces.
  • Assist with staging raw materials and managing non-sterile compounding inventory.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Participate in site-specific training, ongoing competency assessments, and annual revalidation.
  • Maintain proper documentation, including batch records, ingredient logs, and cleaning logs.
  • Follow USP <795> and <800> requirements and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Compound non-sterile medications (tablets, solutions, suspensions, gummy formulations, etc.) following prescription orders and site SOPs upon completion of certification.
