About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction in Composition Using Music Technology at our Phoenix campus. This course explores the use of music technology as a foundation for composing original works in various styles. The role involves facilitating classroom lectures and discussions, engaging students with current technologies and industry trends, assessing student performance, and mentoring students. Adjunct faculty are expected to uphold the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.

Requirements

  • Master of Music or Master of Arts in composition or music theory
  • 3 years of professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • DMA or PhD in composition or music theory.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies.
  • Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends.
