The Component Specialist II (Hydraulics) is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role involves maintaining a necessary set of tools to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic pumps & motors, and hydraulic valves to manufacturer’s specifications. The specialist will attend and complete required technician training, maintain awareness of technical changes, and perform designated repairs and rebuilds on customer or company-owned components. Additionally, the role requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, improving work methods, and assisting with facility appearance and shop conditions. The specialist will inspect components to control repair costs, complete required documentation using appropriate software, monitor job expenses versus repair estimates, and communicate any cost overruns to the supervisor. A positive attitude, team contribution, and mentoring of others are also key aspects of this position. Other duties as assigned.
