About The Position

The Tax Coordinator will be part of the Global Tax organization and will be responsible for the management of all tax information required to enable the US Compliance team based in New York to deliver on day-to-day tax related activities. The role also provides administrative support to senior leaders in the tax department. Responsibilities

Provides administrative support to four B50+ VPs in calendar management, trip planning and TEV submissions. As well as other VP leaders in the department on an adhoc basis for any critical activities as noted.
Coordination of all tax information requests needed for return and quarterly tax calculations.
Management of Income tax notices
Process, report, and reconcile all income tax payments
Responsible for Amex tax return mailings and all associated documentation.
Responsible for reporting of quarterly SOX inventory listing and assurance that files are compliant
Management of tax residency certificates
Responsible for maintaining the tax transaction logs
Liaison with third party service providers for AmEx annual report filings as well as Personal Property tax
Assist with entity tax classification applications
Management of the compliance tax calendar
Review and redistribute incoming tax electronic correspondence to appropriate internal parties
Prepare onboarding documentation such as IRS Forms W-8, W-9, and tax residence certifications
Liaise with tax authority representatives regarding information reporting-related notices
Obtain tax return transcripts and reconcile transcripts against tax returns
Management of the legal entity tracker
Attend tax advisory meetings and take notes as required
Assist in ad hoc project support as required across Global Tax
