About The Position

The Inland Real Estate Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ISC Due Diligence & Compliance Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to corporate compliance practices, regulatory research, due diligence analytics, and audit support within a dynamic business environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy research, analysis, and problem-solving while gaining valuable experience working alongside compliance and business professionals.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Junior standing at the time of application.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week at our Oak Brook, Illinois corporate headquarters.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of compliance reviews and due diligence activities.
• Update and organize standard operating procedures and compliance documentation.
• Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Gather, review, and organize supporting documentation.
• Help ensure audit materials are complete and accurate.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies.
• Help ensure company practices align with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
• Conduct public record and media searches.
• Research companies, individuals, and business entities.
• Analyze background information and compile findings into actionable reports.
