The main purpose of this position is to ensure that all Safety/Risk Department rules and policies are being documented, enforced, and resolved. This role involves providing customer service to drivers, researching and correcting log entries, analyzing audit reports to identify violations and determine disciplinary actions, and managing in-cab device communication issues. The specialist will also review paper logs, document driver incidents and coaching, review MVRs for DOT compliance, and assist with hazardous material matters. Additionally, the role includes viewing and saving video footage from company equipment for accident investigations, updating risk systems, and handling incoming calls related to liability, workers’ compensation, and cargo issues. General clerical duties and initial claim investigations are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires documenting various driver-related issues and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
