About The Position

The Compliance Specialist, Senior contributes to public safety through the planning, scheduling and/or execution of the annual General Order (GO) 165 and/or 95 patrol, inspection, and/or corrective maintenance program. Incumbents perform day-to-day activities such as work verification of standards, proper documentation, tag preparation and receipt, including delivering regular metrics reporting through SAP, and other department systems. Responsibilities include following all company and regulatory safety requirements, standards and best practices while promoting a safety culture, and ensuring compliance with the Wildfire Mitigation Plan for work in high fire threat districts (HFTD) and high fire consequence areas (HFCA).

Requirements

  • 5 years of related business experience
  • Experience working with the SAP Work Manager
  • Experience working with Geographic Information Systems - GIS
  • 25% travel

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and maintains pre-established filing system of the overhead, underground inspection, and patrol records and completed electric preventative corrective maintenance (EPCM) tags. Identifies areas for improvement within system.
  • Provide oversite of managerial duties, office flow, and clerical functions.
  • Reviews and signs electric corrective (EC) tags. May audit tags to ensure accuracy. Ensures accurate and up to date records of the overhead, underground inspection, and patrol schedule, detailing books for each district. Ensures short-term engineering tags are sent to the design team.
  • Maintains current knowledge of General Order 165 and/or 95 from the department manual and applies the order to day-to-day work activities. Follows procedures and outlined orders in the Electric Distribution Preventative Maintenance Manual (EDPM) for day-to-day workload.
  • Identifies and manages all types of orders in SAP system associated with all BF & BG and all maintenance and pole work compliance.
  • Reviews prepared packages for overhead, underground inspection, and patrol. Prints out the correct log in SAP, prepares tags due reports for that particular map, and folds and stamps correct map for inspector use.
  • Logs annual inspection maps, forecasting work for the district for the next two years.
  • Ensures appropriate documentation of EC tags, and audits fields and work type codes for accuracy.
  • Participates in the annual funding allocations process for units and dollars with program managers working on various maintenance and construction programs. Manages and tracks costs, looking at trends and unit costs throughout the year.
  • Assists in data analysis and reporting by running database queries and reports on tag activity, annual GO 165 and/or 95 reports, etc. Regularly queries database to ensure accuracy of tag records.
  • Provides training and guidance for department clerical group and supports other regular training.
  • May provide support to other divisions as required.
