About The Position

Adyen is seeking a highly organized, technically fluent, and product-minded Compliance Officer to join its Schemes Compliance team, supporting the Growth vertical. The role enables business growth across new products, markets, partners, payment methods, and network programs through cross-functional execution and scalable operating solutions. It works across Payments Compliance, Product, Engineering, Commercial, Partnerships, Legal, Risk, and Operations to unblock launches, shape requirements, and translate complex business and network needs into structured programs. The position leads growth initiatives from problem definition and requirements gathering through launch, monitoring, and post-launch optimization. It partners with Product and Engineering on business requirements, operating models, controls, and system enhancements; coordinates launch readiness and dependencies with stakeholders; identifies gaps between business goals, network or partner requirements, and operational realities; and develops program plans, governance, documentation, and scalable processes. The role also supports testing, launches, post-launch reviews, metrics tracking, and repeatable frameworks for evaluating merchant use cases. The role is based in Adyen’s San Francisco or New York City office. Adyen is an office-first company and does not offer remote-only roles.

  • Escalate blockers, risks, and unresolved issues with clear recommendations and decision options.
  • Support the design of repeatable frameworks for evaluating merchant use cases that do not fit neatly within existing network mandates.
  • Coordinate testing, readiness, launches, and post-launch reviews for complex initiatives with global impact.
