About The Position

Boyd Interactive is seeking an experienced and strategic Compliance Manager to lead and oversee the full compliance product and platform lifecycle- from ideation, design, functionality, and delivery- ensuring adherence to all applicable provincial, state, and federal laws and regulations across North American jurisdictions. As a key member of the Compliance Department, the Compliance Manager will oversee compliance and regulatory initiatives across the organization, providing leadership and subject matter expertise on gaming-related regulatory requirements. This role requires deep knowledge of gaming regulations, strong operational oversight capabilities, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally while driving a culture of compliance throughout the business. The Compliance Manager will also lead, mentor, and develop a small Compliance team, providing guidance, prioritization, and oversight to support departmental and organizational objectives. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing compliance programs, regulatory reporting, internal controls, audit activities, and policy management to ensure all Boyd Interactive products, services, and operational practices meet applicable compliance standards and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of casino and/or online gaming industry experience within regulated environments
  • Proven leadership experience within a compliance function in the gaming, financial services, or similarly regulated industry
  • Experience managing or leading internal and external audits and regulatory examinations
  • Strong understanding of AML, Responsible Gaming, regulatory compliance frameworks, and risk management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into operational requirements and business processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience interacting directly with gaming regulators and licensing bodies preferred
  • Willing and able to obtain gaming licenses in all required jurisdictions, including completion of all background investigations and regulatory filings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • AML certification such as CAMS considered an asset
  • Experience filing reports with FINCEN, FINTRAC, and similar regulatory agencies is preferred
  • Legal, regulatory, or licensing operations experience within the gaming industry is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the review, maintenance, and implementation of Responsible Gaming (RG) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) programs, activities, and data analysis across all operating jurisdictions, including related regulatory submissions
  • Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and submission of required regulatory reports across multiple jurisdictions
  • Manage relationships with clients to ensure timely completion and submission of regulatory reporting requirements
  • Lead coordination with clients, regulators, and vendors to identify, assess, and document regulatory, technical, and security requirements, including review of technical security documentation and audit reports
  • Lead the drafting, implementation, and ongoing review of internal policies and procedures, including AML, Responsible Gaming, Regulatory Compliance, and Technology Security policies
  • Oversee fraud monitoring activities, suspicious activity investigations, reporting obligations, and related compliance analysis
  • Lead the development and execution of remediation and mitigation plans in response to regulatory findings, compliance gaps, or platform incidents
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the business and various State, Provincial, and Federal regulators
  • Oversee and coordinate periodic compliance assessments, platform certifications, internal audits, external audits, and security reviews
  • Maintain and oversee Controls Activity Matrices (CAMs) and related compliance documentation for regulated environments
  • Develop and oversee compliance training initiatives and awareness programs for employees across the organization
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and participate in strategic and operational leadership discussions
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance implementation and adoption across business functions, identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Stay informed of evolving regulatory requirements and emerging compliance trends across North American gaming jurisdictions
