About The Position

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, is seeking a Compliance Manager - Product Development to coordinate and complete new and existing insurance product development projects across Property, General Liability, Auto, Inland Marine, Crime, Farm, Businessowners, and Professional Liability. The role oversees staff, conducts market research, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and ensures products are competitive, compliant, and aligned with company goals. The manager works with leaders in Actuarial, IT, Stat, Underwriting, and Claims throughout the product development cycle. The position oversees end-to-end product development, including implementation of new products, programs, and product enhancements; prioritizes projects; assigns work and manages product development staff; coordinates with other Compliance Department functions on regulatory matters affecting independent forms and rules; and develops the expertise of product development specialists. Products must meet regulatory requirements and internal company standards. The position is based in a hybrid work model, with remote consideration for qualified candidates outside the primary geographic region. The national salary range is $114,400 to $128,000, with the final offer based on experience and geographic location.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent of 10 years of Product Development experience in the P&C industry.
Five years of Commercial and Professional Underwriting experience, or a strong understanding of P&C insurance products, underwriting principles, and market trends.
Management experience.
Knowledge of ISO forms, rates, and rules, including bureau filings, adoption activities, and system development.
Familiarity with and ability to interpret rules and regulations outlined in compliance and commercial lines bulletins.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and complete new and existing insurance product development projects.
Work with functional leaders in Actuarial, IT, Stat, Underwriting, and Claims throughout the product development cycle.
Manage end-to-end product development, including execution and implementation of product enhancements and new products or programs.
Prioritize product development projects.
Manage product development staff by assigning projects and overseeing work efforts.
Coordinate with other Compliance Department functional areas on regulatory matters affecting company independent forms and rules.
Develop the talent and expertise of product development specialists.
Ensure products meet regulatory requirements and adhere to internal company standards.
