About The Position

As a Compliance Lead, you will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for complex third-party contracting and risk matters. You will lead the review, negotiation and execution of agreements spanning alternative and market data, expert networks, professional services, technology, real estate and other vendor relationships. You will partner across Legal & Compliance, Information Security, Privacy, Enterprise Sourcing and business teams to assess risk, support due diligence and vendor onboarding, resolve complex issues and strengthen contracting processes. You will also lead strategic initiatives, develop guidance and training, mentor junior associates and identify opportunities to use technology and automation to improve efficiency while supporting successful business outcomes.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of experience reviewing, redlining, drafting and negotiating contracts in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • A bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate.
  • Expert knowledge of contract language, legal concepts, third-party risk management and negotiation strategies to complex vendor agreements.
  • Experience with alternative data, market data, technology, professional services or real estate-related contracting, including vendor diligence, data sourcing, privacy and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to negotiate complex provisions involving confidentiality, warranties, intellectual property, indemnification, limitation of liability and related contractual protections.
  • Ability to assess legal, compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, operational and reputational risk; exercise sound judgment; escalate issues appropriately; and recommend practical solutions.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across business functions and seniority levels through clear, authentic and persuasive communication.
  • Ability to lead remediation, process improvement or operational transformation initiatives while managing competing priorities with attention to detail and composure.
  • Ability to use contract-related applications, including AI-enabled tools, automation and other technology, to analyze agreements, improve efficiency and strengthen contracting processes.
