About The Position

BrightSpring Health Services’ Clinical Quality and Compliance internship provides hands-on experience and professional development in healthcare compliance, clinical quality, and risk management. The intern will learn how compliance and security initiatives support patients, organizational integrity, and business operations across a nationwide healthcare organization.

The program includes collaboration with business leaders and peers, site visits to pharmacies and local offices, workshops, networking events, leadership discussions, mentorship, and real-world projects. Interns may have an opportunity to complete a ride-along and will have the chance to present their work in a final project. The experience is intended to build research, communication, critical-thinking, and professional collaboration skills while helping interns explore career paths in healthcare.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Self-driven and detail-oriented.
• Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Able to manage time and tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Passionate about healthcare and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Connect with business leaders across all segments to understand the business and develop a professional network.
• Complete site visits to pharmacies and local offices.
• Potentially complete a ride-along.
• Support the Chief Security Officer with security database maintenance and investigation training.
• Research insurance plans to identify funding for patient services.
• Research risk areas for business lines.
• Assist in creating newsletters or training materials about compliance hot topics or role-specific topics.
• Review industry policies, procedures, and codes of conduct to identify best practices.
• Complete special projects to support the department.
