The Global Compliance division prevents, detects, and mitigates compliance, regulatory, and reputational risk across the firm. It operates as an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, assessing risk, monitoring compliance with laws and regulations, designing and implementing controls, policies, procedures, and training, conducting independent testing, investigating risks and breaches, and leading responses to regulatory examinations. The Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team coordinates the firm's enterprise-wide anti-money laundering (AML), economic sanctions, and anti-bribery compliance efforts. FCC administers surveillances, due diligence, and investigative expertise to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, fraud, and other violations of law. The FCC First Line of Defense Risk team is responsible for driving enhanced accountability, governance, and financial crime risk ownership within core business activities. This role specifically focuses on managing and advising on financial crime compliance risks within the Asset Management business, shaping risk priorities, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving improvements to financial crime controls and processes.
