The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA), Food Safety & Consumer Services (FSCS) Division is seeking a Compliance Dairy Process Improvement Coordinator. This role reports to the Food Safety Program Manager and is crucial for leading statewide compliance and enforcement efforts, ensuring consistent application of laws and regulations for licensed entities. The position also leads the agency's process improvement team for the Grade 'A' Dairy program, aligning with national standards and the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO). The Coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert in food safety, food processing, and inspection processes for dairy products, providing technical assistance, policy development, and education to regulated industries, stakeholders, and internal staff. Additionally, this role assists in developing and implementing the inspector training program for dairy farms, milk plants, and pasteurizers to ensure a competent workforce aligned with state and federal best practices. This position requires in-person trainings and presentations.
