About The Position

Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a Coordinator, Business Process Improvement to lead initiatives that streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and support organizational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing business processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing clear procedures and documentation, and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, technical writing or related field.
  • Experience in Quality Control Systems (ISO, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) or Process and Procedure Management
  • Knowledge of and highly proficient with procedures and project management activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all segments of the district.
  • Experience with working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in the areas of diplomacy, judgment, leadership, problem solving, and accountability.
  • Ability to direct teams and work groups in support of key areas in need of improvement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Exceptional grammar, writing, punctuation and editing skills to create document content.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent research skills.

Responsibilities

  • Focuses on procedure development and improvement to assure quality career training and excellent services to customers and stakeholders.
  • Recommends new approaches through improved procedures, work instructions and records to effect continuous improvements in services to customers.
  • Creates and revises procedures, work instructions and forms.
  • Owns and maintains the district's document control system, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, accessibility, and governance of all controlled documents.
  • Serves as a resource to departmental staff and responds to requests for assistance.
  • Demonstrates skills in leading teams, project management, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinates and facilitates staff committee and team meetings for the preparation and implementation of procedures that impact departmental operations.
  • Establishes a cooperative working relationship with district employees.
  • Creates process maps utilizing digital products (Visio or similar) detailing district procedures and work instructions.
  • Prepares reports for administration regarding the status or tracking of projects and initiatives.
  • Participates in training to grow and maintain knowledge in relevant areas.
  • Seeks best practices and stays abreast in current field through research.
  • Assists with other projects in support of the duties of the department of Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Provide onboarding and ongoing training for document control system users.
