About The Position

Spang & Company has an opening for a Compliance Coordinator based at its corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining activities related to U.S. import and export compliance regulations across all divisions of the organization, including documentation, records maintenance, training, and regulatory support. Spang & Company is a diversified manufacturing company. Through the work of three unique product lines, we design, produce, and supply precision soft magnetic components and materials to the electronics industry and custom-engineered solutions to the power industry.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in a compliance or logistics position
Knowledge of EAR and ITAR regulations
Strong research and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC applications

Responsibilities

Performing denied party screenings
Maintaining export compliance records
Supporting end-user verification and certifications
Maintaining ECCN, HTS, and Schedule B records
Assisting with ITAR registration activities
Maintaining export compliance manuals and technology control plans
Supporting compliance audits and training initiatives
Processing customer requests related to Conflict Minerals, RoHS, and REACH compliance
Completing certificates of origin and customer surveys
Monitoring changes to applicable regulations and standards
Interacting with government agencies
Supporting company-wide compliance initiatives
Disseminating relevant regulatory updates to management
Helping ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulatory requirements
